HE LIFTS ME UP
To all who enter herein:

Greetings and love in the wonderful name of Jesus, it is with a joyful heart and uplifted spirit that I welcome you to this website. This cite is intended to uplift the people of God and to honor and glorify His holy name. Moreover, it is the truth found in the Word of God (i.e. the Bible) that strengthens the inner spirit and keeps the believer strong for the Lord. God's Word simply states that ...My people are taken into captivity for their lack of knowledge ... Isaiah 5:13, and Hosea 4:6 states... My people are destroyed for their lack of knowledge. This website is a safe harbor for the weak and weary that need refreshed in the word, it is also a place of discovery for those who have not been born again, and are not sure where they will spend eternity. The ground is level at the foot of the cross, there is an equality here that surpasses all others...God is no respecter of persons what He has done for others He can and will do for you. >>>"He Lifts Me Up"<<< is designed to lead, guide, and direct believers in their personal walk with the Lord. Though this website may help open the eyes of your understanding, be assured that the truth is, God"s Word is real, and alive, and that only through Christ and the power of His Spirit one must be BORN AGAIN. Furthermore, one should understand that this website upholds the truth that Christ died for our sins: was buried, and rose again; that He ever lives to make innercession for believers and one MUST BE BORN AGAIN to have eternal life. We are determined to preach the cross and Christ, who died thereon.

It is not within the heart of the contributors of this site to uplift ourselves, but rather that the body of Christ be edified and God"s people be blessed and informed according to God's Word.

This website is dedicated to the furtherence of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and is 100% dedicated to believers. The ground is level here, no one stands higher than another. We are all equal in God's eyes, and we must endeavor to reach out to Jesus by reaching out to others. We are HIS CHURCH, HIS BRIDE, HIS BODY, and as such we MUST endeavor to work together to get His message to a lost and dying world.

You are inportant to God. It matters to Him where you spend eternity.
He gave His Son to die for you so that you might be saved (John 3:16). You can't have Christmas, until you have Easter, and you can't have Easter until you fully realize why there was a Christmas in the first place. From Bethlehem to Calvary, His life was perfect and without sin, (Hebrews 4:15), He was tempted in all points as we are, but overcame to serve us, and give Himself as our Sacrificial Lamb on the cross. God is willing to save anyone who trust in Jesus as their personal Savior. (II Peter 3:9). Some try to fool us by giving us false hope, about eternity, and what happens after we die. Proverbs says...there is a way that seems right, but the ends thereof are the ways of death...(Proverbs 14:12 )  The new birth that Jesus taked about to Nicodemus in John 3 is the realiziation that Jesus was and is God's son, that He died for our sins and rose again, and in accepting this sacrificial death of Jesus on the cross we become new creations in Him and therefore live eternally with God through Christ Jesus' his death, His burial, and His resurrection. (I John 1:8-10 & Romans 7:24-8:1)

Eternity is real, you can't excape that. At the end of this life you will face an eternity you have  choosen in this life, ither HELL OR HEAVEN. And it's a choice that MUST BE MADE NOW, while you still have breath to breath. HELL is real, Jesus spoke of its torment and pain more than He spoke of Heaven. Its darkness, its everlasting fire, its wailing and gnashing of teeth, where the worm never dies, (Matthew 13:36-43, Mark9:42-48).  Nothing on this side of life can fully imagin all that awaits those who have not choosen to follow Jesus by embracing the New Birth. Hell was created for the devil and his followers, (Matthew 25:31-46), and sad to say, the reality of it is that no choice, is a choice against God. Jesus said .. you are ither for me or against me (Matthew 12:30)...  Before I made the choice and got saved, I thought Hell was a place where one could be positioned according to their life on earth. The evil, wicked life I used to live before I met Jesuswas one that assured me eternity in Hell,  so I thought that I would attain a high position there.  I was confronted one day by a dear dear friend who told me of redemption and God's saving grace through Christ's death on the cross, that God has provided for all. (II Peter 3:9). I told him of my concept of  Hell and he was compassionate enough to wait till I had finished, and then proceeded to explain to me what the Bible had to say of Heaven and Hell.  After several minutes of debat over the matter, I turned to walk away, but as I did, he kindly said to me, "BUT SUPPOSE THE BIBLE IS RIGHT, suppose it is true? what will your eternity bring?" That suppostion stayed with me for days  untill  I made the choice  for Christ. Now, nearly 37 years later I still hold to that truth.  have had many trials and tribulation, I have fallen down and even had to crawl at times, but God never gave up on me, never left me, never forsaken me. He was there all the time, waiting patiently, like the loving gracious Father He is, for a prodical son to return home. I know where I am now, and in my heart of hearts I know where I am going to spend eternity. The world didn't give it to me, and the world can't take it away. Let this blessed assurance console you; that Christ has regarded our helplessnes and shed His own blood for our soul. The choice is to each one of us individually, not of the deeds we do, or what others have done for us, (aside from Christ's death on the cross), or how good we think we are, or strive to be. Jesus said, (John14:6-7)..."no one comes to the Father except by Him, He is the Way,the Truth, and the Life."

                                                                                                    Sincerely in Christ,
                                                                                                                                           Paul

THEY NEVER STOPPED SCREAMING !!!!                                                                                  3/6/2011

And whosoever was not found written in the
Book of life was cast into a lake of fire
                                                                                           Revelation 20:15

Several years ago, shortly after being saved, I had a conversation with a gentleman, who related to me the final few moments in the lives of three young men, who perished in a fiery auto accident. As he related to me this story I could not excape the thought of these young men going into a Christless eternity. I do not judge them, I only state that if they did not know Christ as their personal savior, if they were not born again as Jesus so stated in John 3:16, then their screams of pain as they died in the fiery crash, have never stopped. If they were born again believers, according to the Word of God, then they were welcomed into the portals of glory with open arms and the wonderful joy of eternity with God.

Approximately 2 people die every second, according to world statistics, Death is inevitable. The Bible states ... "it is appointed unto men [mankind] once to die, but after this the judgment" (Hebrews 9:27). Lets look at this verse of Hebrews in two parts: #1-THE APPOINTMENT WITH DEATH.
                                            #2-THE JUDGEMENT

THE APPOINTMENT:

In the beginning God created the Heaven and Earth. And the Earth was without form,
and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. Genesis 1:1-2.

Have you ever looked at that verse in respect to your life. Mankind, because of the fall of Adam and Eve, is under a sentence of death, and is separated from God spiritually. That's why God asked Adam (Gen. 3:9), "Adam, where are you?" God knew where Adam was, what he had done and the separation it caused.  Therefore, mankind is born without form and void, and in darkness, He is spiritually dead to God, because of Adam's sin we are spiritually separated from God no matter how good we strive to be, we fall short of the glory of God and the righteousness, (a right standing) with God. A sinful nature that has no light within and seeks nothing but the pleasures of the flesh. That is why some find it so easy to commit crime, while others detest it so. God referred to it as a 'stony heart' through the Prophet Ezekiel, wherein it is written ...I (GOD) will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh...(Ezekiel 36:26).  There is such an inconsistency with life that nothing makes sense without God. Hebrews 10:31 says, "It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God." But those who have been born again, need not fear this judgment, for they have knelt before a Living God and confessed their sin. The Apostle Paul wrote..."There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." This is why religion is nearly always a sore subject to bring up in conversation, because everyone has their own opinion or everyone has their own form of worship, to a higher power.

"There is a way that seems right unto man,
but the ends thereof are the ways of death..."
                                             Proverbs14:12

There are so many forms of religion in this world, as Websters Dictionary defines "religion" As a system of belief in, worship of supernatural power or God. Maybe that is why the Word of God only uses the word religion or religious a couple of times in the whole Bible. Lets face it, we all succumb to the brightness of the sun, so we all yield to some higher power, in one way or another. But for the most part people have a belief in something they worship even if it is tangible things. People become a slave to what they have and sacrifice, in someway, to keep it. The rich worry how they may lose their wealth, the poor lust for it. This is a gimme-gimme, take-take world we live in, few are the humble, and sad to say, fewer are the saved. Every day people send forth their prayers to a God or gods, in vain, never realizing the truth, that Jesus said, ...No mans comes to the Father but by Him... (St. John 14:6.) God is a Spirit, and they who worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and Truth (St. John 4:24) It takes a humble person to fully believe and accept the new birth. They were not, and are not, idle words that Jesus said to Nicodemus in St. John 3:16 "You must be born again." And that new birth is the only way to heaven; Furthermore, it is something that MUST BE done before a person dies. by the individual themselves. Goodness, or being a good person, cannot and will not get you into heaven. Again, no man comes unto the Father but by Jesus. Religion teaches goodness, but good deeds can't get you to God, here we go again, 'there is a way that seems right, but the ends thereof are the ways of death.' Religion cannot save you, church cannot save you, being involved with church programs or even going to theological schools can't save you, it is only through the belief in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ that saves a person and makes the way straight to God and Heaven. Until a person submits to the truth that they are a sinner and in need of forgiveness, they cannot and will not get to the Father, nor have eternal life. When Adam and Eve fell, that sinful nature was passed on to us and to all of us is the sin debt we owe to God. That's the way it is and it cannot be changed. We owe a debt to GOD and that debt is settle ONLY BY JESUS. We owed a debt we could not pay, He paid a debt, he did not owe. Jesus has made a way to the Father and eternity in Heaven "How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? (Heb. 2:3)"

Will their be obstacles in and along the way, O Yes, nearly constantly, daily we shall be tempted and tried; purification and strength comes through temperance in the fire,

Jesus said, If the world hate you,
you know that it hated Me before it hated you?"
                                                                                                        John 15:18.

And if you think that it's not worth it, think again; because without Christ, without the New Birth, your future is hopeless and your eternity is Hell bound. They're not my words, but God's Words. It is not over once you've closed your eyes in death in this life, you will have an eternity to face and trust me, without Christ it will not be pretty. Realize this, Jesus spoke and taught more about Hell then He did of Heaven, that fact alone should say something about life after death. I was saved while in prison, real prison with stone walls and steel bars, a couple of years after starting my confinement, I was approached by a Christian guards and questioned about my eternity. After telling Him that I had no need for God and that I was too evil to get into heaven and since I knew I was going to Hell anyway, I would continue to strive for a position there and willingly except that fate, after all it couldn't be worse then the hell I been through in this life. At which point he kindly began to tell me of what the Bible truly says about life after death, about the truth of Heaven and Hell and the eventual judgment, that no matter how evil I was or thought I was God has a plan of salvation that readily would forgive me and save me from falling into the hands of a Living God to face eternal damnation. Turning to walk away, I simply said, you have your belief and I have mine, but no thanks. It all sounds good, but I'm having too much fun living my way, and in my belief, then he said to me, but suppose you're wrong and the Bible is right what does eternity hold for you, can you afford to neglect what God has offered you now. That supposition burned in my heart for days, till I went back to him to heard more about Jesus and forgiveness, and an eternity with God in Heaven. That's been nearly 35 years ago: I've stumbled a time or two, and even fallen, but I learnt that God's concerned with the times we get up, not the times we stumble or fall down. The Christian walk is one of many trials and tribulations, there are thorns and thistles all along the way, and God is there always to help us and keep us from the fiery darts that the Devil might throw at us. This body still has five senses that Satan can use to tempt us; Daily, we as believers, face numerous temptation, or situations that could very well lure our attention away from Christ, IF we allowed it to. Our faith is an ever working movement of the SPIRIT AND THE WORD together, to lead, guide, and direct us in every way, to the glory of Christ and the increase of God's Kingdom. There is no sin, or shame, in being tempted!  Infact, the scripture record,

"Jesus was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin ...."
                                                                                                                      Hebrews 4:15,

And it's clearly recorded in the first 12 verses of Matthew's 4th chapter, three times the devil personally tempted Jesus, and every time there was a temptation, Jesus put it asunder with the WORD OF GOD. 1st John 2:16 states that ... the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye, and the pride of life, are not of the Father, but of the world.  Believe it or not, these three areas of enticement are the only way sin can get into your life. Yet the truth of the matter is, the lust of the eye and the pride of life really fall under the lust of the flesh; that personal desires of wanting something not truly within the will of God for us, or for His glory.  We're back to that gimme-gimme, take-take world thing again. The Apostle Paul explained it this way, as long as we are still in this flesh, [still alive], evil is present with us, [those things that will tempt us in our faith] . That is why we should daily feed the spiritual man with prayer and studying the Word of God, i.e., [the bread of life]. It is the responsibility of each believer to strengthen themselves, a spiritual feeding and exercising to grow thereby, to overcome the temptations that Satan might bring our way. One of the understandings of 1st John 1:8 "...if we say that we have no sin..."sin" in reference to a corruptible flesh that is subject to satans tempting ways.

Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God,"
1st John 1:8 says, " If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us."

The sin nature is passed from generation to generation, no man is exempt, ... "for as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive" (1 Corinth. 15:22). I once heard a man say..." Born once die twice, born twice die once." He went on to explain to me that just as we are born, we are gonna die; but if we accept the new birth, that Jesus spoke of to Nicodemus (John 3rd chpt.), and are born again, if we endeavor to grow spiritually in Christ, then when this life is over we do not have to worry about that final judgment when Hell and death shall be cast into a lake of fire. (Rev. 20:14.)

The new birth that Jesus spoke of to Nicodemus, is a non wavering belief that Jesus is who He said He is, and that He did what He said He would do: His death on the cross,  buried in a tomb, and His resurrection from the grave having opened the way for the Father to pour-out the Holy Spirit upon all flesh, making the new birth possible and a direct connection with the Father in Heaven. When Jesus prayed in the garden that night He was betrayed, He spoke these words to the Father.

Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on Me through their word; That they all may be One; as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be One in Us: that the world may believe that You have sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them; that they may be one, even as We are One: I in them, and You in Me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them, as You have loved Me. Father, I will that they also, whom you have given me, will be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which You have given me: for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father, the world has not known You: but I have known You, and these have known that You have sent Me. And I have declared unto them Your Name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith You have loved Me may be in them, and I in them.
                                                                                                                                      (St. John 17:20-26)

For some reason or another some churches and some ministers do not want to preach that message, they just, ( I suppose), want to make every one feel welcomed in their congregation. They don't want to offend anyone. (hear that echo...there is a way that seems right, but the ends are the way of death). Years ago there was what was call fire-and-brimstone preachers, and slaughterhouse preaching. It's an old phrase that merely means that preachers weren't afraid to tell it like it is. Preaching Hell HOT, and Believers Blood washed, and bought with a price. We have lost that fiery message for the most part, some ministers like to keep it low-keyed and acceptable so that not to offend anyone. Our Lord and Savior suffered greatly to free us from sin, 'how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation.' Have you really looked at what happened at Calvary! Sins debt demanded a great price, and yet He endured it for us. He didn't have to but HE DID! the Prophet said, of Jesus death...

"He was wounded for our transgression, bruised for our
                                 iniquities: and the chastisement of our peace was upon Him;
and by His stripes we are healed"
                                                                                                             Isaiah 53:5

Believe it or not, but this is where all 'religions' differ from the "Christianity" Theirs is based upon what their leaders have told them, and the life they lived; However, Christianity, is based upon what Jesus did for us on the cross, the empty grave, and in glory still today; where He ever lives to give intercession for believers (Heb. 7:25). Our transgression, our iniquities, and the chastisement of our peace, took Jesus to the cross. He who knew no sin, became sin for us, that we might be reconciled to God. What a wonderful Savior. Believe in that, and the new birth is yours, and heaven will be your reward for eternity. there is no other way, no other religious leader has left us with an empty grave, only Jesus; and only Jesus saves. I don't know why Jesus loves me but I'm so glad he does. And I don't know why anyone having the chance to get saved, doesn't! The inevitable fact is that death is assured for all should be enough for anyone to embrace this wonderful grace that God has so sufficiently provided for all who humbly seek their forgiveness through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ His Son. It keeps coming back to me ... how shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation... I would beg of you, if you have not trusted your life, here and now and for eternity, to Jesus Christ, please do not put it off any longer. There is an appointment awaiting us all, preparations need to be made NOW before it is too late. The assurance of tomorrow is never a sure thing. I'm sure that these three young men felt that they had plenty of life yet to live, until that vehicle slammed into that abutment, and erupted into flames. Lost or saved, they left this world suddenly, without warning they passed from this life into eternity

JUDGMENT:

"It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God."
                                                                                                              Hebrews 10:31

The key to this verse is in the word 'FALL' Born Again Believer do not fall into the hands of the Living God, they have humbled themselves before a merciful God and repented for their sin.  Therefore God has forgiven them, and they have already passed onto eternal life in Christ. Their sins have been washed in the Blood Of Jesus. And they will only stand before the judgment seat of Christ to be judged of their life in Him while upon earth. This is referred to as the bema seat in the Greek.  It is a place more likened to the podium upon which athletic stood to receive their just rewards for the competition they have entered. And should be understood that there is no one rewarded more than another. We have all run the race of life and have heard the words of God, and having repented of sin, we then shall hear the words from our Heavenly Father,"Well done thou good and faithful child" As recorded in the Bible 'judgement' MUST begin at the house of God, (1 Peter 4:17),

Know you not that you are the Temple of GOD
and that the Spirit of GOD dwells in you?
                                                         1 Corinth 3:16

We are each responsible for our own walk. As believers we are accountable for our stumblings, our falls, and our getting back up, God will hold nothing against another for what we have done or failed to do, in Christ; and aside from a righteous judgment, the need for salvation of another, we have no cause to judge, nor condemn another. The first action of a believer is to be humble and trust in the Lord with all their heart, not giving way to our own personal desires or thinking. The call, or mission, of the believer is to win souls to the Kingdom of God. Getting people right with God is our goal, the heart beat of our mission is to love the Lord God with all our heart. If we strive to trust in His Spirit to lead, guide, and direct us in everything, according to the Word of God, we cannot and will not fail; Moreover, we will see souls won to the Kingdom. NO ONE IS PERFECT EXCEPT CHRIST; however, we have been Born Again with a Perfect Spirit and the Word of God. Our perfection is limited to the Spiritual life in Christ, not the physical walk we have here. If the Apostle Paul struggled with the flesh then I can most assuringly tell you we shall also. With the cross ever before us and ever behind us we shall overcome all adversities in life and go on to that glorious Home He has prepared for us. Judge within your heart wheather or not you are saved and going to Heaven when your appointment with death is met. Heaven is assured to all if they repent and accept Gods redeeming grace. No one has to wonder if there is life after death, there is, and you can have it now in Christ. Born once die twice, born twice die once. No one comes to the Father except through Jesus Christ. I am firmly convinced that if we would spend as much time looking in our own hearts, at our own lives, as we do in judgment toward others, we would not be so quick to judge and, we would find our life in Christ more abundantly lived and more prosperous toward the Kingdom of God. Remember when you point a finger at someone, there are three pointing back at you.

For the saved, there is a hope that in every uprising or downsetting, every incoming or outgoing, every trial or tribulation there is the blessed hope that Christ Jesus is right there with us, carrrying us through it all. But what hope have those who are not born agian? What promise it here for those who have not called upon the Name of the Lord for salvataion? It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God. Jesus spoke of Hell far more then He spoke of Heaven, because He did not want anyone to suffer its torment. Hell is discribed in the Bible as outter darkness with a weeping and gnashing of teeth, a place where the worm never dies, where torment never stops, and the screaming never ends. To stand in Judgment in front of the Living God and asked "What think you of Christ? After death it will be too late. It is appointed unto a person once to die and then the judgment. To those who have not accepted Jesus and His sacrificial death upon the cross in our place, the judgement of God will be swift and simply, Depart from me for I have never known you. (St Matt. 25:30-46) And if that is not a frightening thought, Know this, In The Book of Revelation the final act of God Judgment will be Hell and death being cast into a lake of fire...Revelation 20:14-15

The 20th chpt. of Revelation tells the whole truth of judgment, both the saved and the unsaved. Read it and soon you will understand why it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God.
